The April issue of Musica Nova has been released! But unfortunately it’s a little grayish compared to the original painting. I look forward to it next time!

It’s been late, but
Happy new year I hope this year brings you happiness!
By the way, I am in charge of the cover image of the music magazine “Musica Nova”. “Magazine for learning, teaching and enjoying the piano” Musica Nova was first published in 1970. How wonderful it is to be able to decorate the cover of such a famous historical magazine!
I’d like to decorate all the covers with new works, but the schedule is quite difficult, so I will announce it with existing works and new works. Of course, new work is first show, so please look forward to it.
The January issue has already been sold at musical instrument stores nationwide. I would appreciate it if you could take it if you have the opportunity.
We held an exhibition named Three Cows at the end of August. An emergency declaration was issued for COVID-19, and I was worried if it could be held, but it was able to be held safely. The exhibition was very well received and was blessed with over 430 visitors. Fortunately, some of my works left for our customers. Thanks to my friends, I was able to reproduce the exhibition in 3D. Please see it. <Link>
I’m making a new work now. It’s hard because I have to finish making it by Christmas. But I really enjoy making it. I’m a little busy now because I have a new name order, but I would like to increase the number of works steadily. I want to do a solo exhibition in Germany somehow! I will do my best! !!
Shortly after I finished pasting, I started to work on the details, but there was something I didn’t like. It’s quite difficult, but I decided to fix it. As a result, it worked, but I was very nervous. Because if I make a mistake, I could start all over again.
I’ve finally finished pasting colors on all screens. I’m about to start putting colored paper on the details. The whole process changes depending on which part you start the fine detail work, so I’m quite worried.
The process leading up to here
It took a day and a half to finally complete the groundwork. B1 (728 x 1,030 mm) size is very difficult to paste. The reason is that it is easy to wrinkle and there are gaps in the bonding area. Because of the tension, I take a break every time I finish pasting one color.
I will trace the original sketch and draw it based on it. I do the tracing manually, so it always shifts. So, in anticipation of that, we have to get closer to the original sketch. This groundwork greatly affects the quality of the work, so it is very nerve-wracking.
