This is the last cover art for MusicaNova, and for the December issue we have chosen “Fir Tree” by Sibelius. In Scandinavia, the fir tree is a symbol of eternal life. The reason for this is that the fir tree is considered to be a place where souls come and go and where life and death intersect. Coincidentally, the cover of the January issue, on which I began working for Musica Nova, features an Amarantine, which means “eternal flower”. I was deeply moved by how fateful it turned out to be, starting with “eternity” and ending with “forever”.
